Thomas Westcott Chartered Accountants has appointed Becky Hayes with 20 years’ experience in VAT and other indirect taxes.
Hayes joins from PKF Francis Clark, where she advised clients across the UK and internationally on VAT and Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) for 10 years.
According to the firm, Hayes will work with colleagues across the firm’s network of offices, providing clients with specialist VAT advice, “heading up” a “dedicated” VAT team to support Thomas Westcott’s clients in the South West and beyond.
Haye’s appointment is the latest development in Thomas Westcott’s “strategic growth” of its tax team.
Shona Godefroy, managing partner, said: “We are delighted to welcome Becky Hayes to Thomas Westcott. She has an extremely impressive CV and brings the depth and breadth of expertise we need to take our VAT offering to the next level.
“Becky’s appointment is part of our strategic growth, which includes expanding our tax team. Taxation is becoming more complex so we are making a number of strategic appointments to bring the very best specialists into our team. Becky’s arrival significantly enhances our tax offering, ensuring we continue to meet the changing needs of our clients.”
Hayes added: “This is an exciting time for Thomas Westcott so it feels like the right moment for me to join the firm. I was attracted by Thomas Westcott’s growth plans and reputation for high quality service and felt I could make a real difference to the firm and its clients.”
