Streets had originally considered opening its own office in the area following “wider opportunities” for a practice of its size in the region, but instead chose to “come together” with the already established firm.

Paul Tutin, chairman and managing partner at Streets, said: “The creation of Streets SJ Males will serve to enhance the provision and access to professional advisory services available to businesses and individuals in Luton and its surrounding business region.

“Whilst many large firms have moved to more regional models, Streets remains committed to and focused on looking after clients that live, work and operate businesses in the local area.”

Craig Males added: “The merger will provide broader benefits in terms of resources and support to develop our team and to ensure we are able to respond to the challenges we face as a business like those of our clients.”

Although the merged firm will continue to act from its Butterfield Technology Park office, Alan Endersby, audit and accountancy partner at Streets, will now lead the operation.

In the role, Endersby will be tasked with spearheading the company’s growth and development to surrounding areas such as St Albans, Hitchin, Dunstable, Harpenden, and Hemel Hempstead.
