CFPro, an accounting firm based in Richmond-Upon-Thames, has announced the appointment of Gary Hanson as a non-executive director.
He joins the firm from BDO, where he was an audit partner working with clients both in the UK and internationally.
He worked as BDO’s international coordination partner for the United States and, more recently, as business growth and development adviser in the UK.
In this role, he established the BDO Cambridge office in 2007, achieving “significant growth” in terms of numbers, services, and quality of clients, whilst building an extensive network in the global corporate community.
Further to his positions at BDO, Hanson was non-executive director and chair of the audit committee at East of England International between 2009 and 2010.
Across his career, Hanson has specialised in working with management teams and providing advice on all aspects of business processes, controls, and performance.
Barbara Spurrier, founder and CEO of CFPro, said: “Gary is well known in the corporate world both nationally and internationally.
“His experience is extensive and impressive, working across different sectors and countries, and will be invaluable to CFPro’s support of high-growth businesses, particularly as we continue to expand the team and build out our service offering further.”
