Rees Pollock has officially changed its name to now act as Blick Rothenberg’s financial services team, following the group’s acquisition in 2019.

Founded in 1990, Rees Pollock now serves roughly 200 regulated clients through its team of 60 fee earners.

Having joined Blick Rothenberg in September 2019, the group claimed that “the time is now right” to retire the Rees Pollock name.

Over the past 18 months, the two firms first came together virtually before recently combining to work at Blick Rothenberg’s Great Queen Street office.

Phil Vipond, now head of financial services at Blick Rothenberg, said: “In September 2019 we joined Blick Rothenberg, and the time is now right to officially retire the Rees Pollock name and become a proud part of the successful Blick Rothenberg brand.

“Blick Rothenberg shares our values and culture, as well as our desire for future growth so this marks an exciting time in our team’s evolution.”

He added that while the firm’s name has changed, it “remain[s] the same client-driven team with a passion for client service”.

Nimesh Shah, CEO at Blick Rothenberg, said: “Although today we retire the Rees Pollock brand, we will continue to remember the history of the firm which continues to play an important role in the future of Blick Rothenberg.

“As a traditionalist, I believe the history of our journey is the foundation for our future success.”
