Chartered accountants Haysmacintyre has appointed Tim Davies as its new head of tax.

Davies has over 25 years’ experience providing tax advice to entrepreneurs and owners of large private businesses, as well as listed and multinational corporations. His expertise covers a broad range of services, with a particular focus on delivering long-term sustainable growth.

He joins the firm from Mazars LLP, where he held positions as head of tax and head of clients and markets. Previously, he spent twelve years in the ‘Big 4’, worked in industry within the financial service sector and trained as an HMRC tax inspector.

The firm said Davies’ appointment follows “unprecedented growth” in the last year with overall turnover up 14% to £33m, all service lines growing by 10% or more and a 12% rise in staff headcount.

The firm were also finalists in three categories of this year’s British Accountancy Awards, ‘National Firm of the Year’, ‘Tax Team of the Year’, and ‘Partner of the Year’.
