Accountancy firm Smith Cooper has announced its expansion into the East of England, through the appointment of Ross Welham as its Cambridge-based director.
Welham has 15 years of experience within the business recovery and insolvency industry across East Anglia and London, and will provide commercial advice to businesses and individuals across Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, Essex and Norfolk.
He will be operating from the company’s new Cambridge office, and will play a “pivotal role” in Smith Cooper’s expansion in the region.
Dean Nelson, head of business recovery and insolvency at Smith Cooper, said: “We are delighted to announce the appointment of Ross. He has a wealth of experience in the local marketplace, and extensive knowledge of the industry, meaning he is ideally positioned to deliver high quality professional advice.”
Welham added: “I’m delighted to be joining such a progressive firm and I feel privileged to be leading our expansion into a new location. Smith Cooper is an ambitious business with a commitment to growth and their clients – and providing specialist advice is an integral element of the firm’s strategy.
“I’m really looking forward to working with the award-winning business recovery and insolvency team to shape, drive and grow this area of the business, and am particularly excited to do so from Cambridge – a brand new location for the company.”
