Accountancy firm PKF Littlejohn has recently announced the appointment of Justine Sacarello as its general counsel.
Sacarello has almost 30 years of legal experience and focuses particularly on cross-border complex contractual and financing transactions. She has advised financial firms, governments and multinational companies on a variety of UK and EU regulatory matters, governance and all aspects of legal risk management.
At KPMG, Sacarello has been recognised as the environmental, social and governance (ESG) expert and legal lead. In addition, she has advised the Financial Services sector and the large oil ‘supermajors’ on the transformation of their business models towards decarbonisation, social principles and ESG compliance.
Dominic Roberts, managing partner of PKF Littlejohn, said: “We are pleased to welcome Justine to our senior team. Given our growth as a business over recent years, Justine will play an important role in ensuring that we continue to operate within a robust legal risk management and governance framework.
“Justine’s insights in the ESG field will also be vital. As a firm, we want to continue to expand our own internal ESG initiatives so that we have an even bigger positive impact on the world around us. In addition, Justine’s arrival means that we have another respected expert to enable us to support our clients with ESG assurance and advice.”
