Hampshire-based accountancy firm HWB has welcomed five new trainees, Chris Ellison, Tiam Bakhtiar, Tom Munn, Matthew Stephens, and Mark McFadden at Chandler’s Ford near Southampton

The arrival of the new trainees is said to take the number of college leavers and trainees brought in by the firm in the past three years to more than 20.

It is reported that the new recruits will work in accounting, audit, tax advice and compliance roles, as well as payroll and pension administration

According to HWB, all are “engaged” in helping to manage the firm’s expanding business in line with growing demand for accountancy services and business advice, while also studying towards industry qualifications hosted by bodies such as the ACA, ATT and CIPP.

Tracy Jenkins, director of operations at HWB, said: “We work very closely with schools, colleges and universities in our region to encourage new entrants to the profession.

“It’s a joy to welcome the latest cohort of young people who have made it through our selection process. I wish each of them every success as they progress in their careers and help us continue to serve our expanding client base.”
