Scottish firm Consilium Chartered Accountants has announced the internal promotions of Susan Webb, Brian Thomson and Colin McCrann, Kirsty Boal and Samantha McCallum from its senior management to director and managerial roles within the company.
Webb, who is said to be an original member of the Consilium team, has been appointed finance and operations directors. In her new role, she will lead all financial and operational aspects of the business, as well as assist the partner team with strategic planning.
Within the firm’s audit team, Thomson has been appointed associate director and will reportedly become the firm’s second responsible individual (RI). Having joined earlier this year, he will lead statutory audit services for several of the company’s largest corporations and charities.
In addition, McCrann has been appointed assistant manager within corporate finance, with Kirsty Boal taking up the role of assistant manager in Consilium’s tax department. In the accounting and business services team, McCallum steps up to the role of supervisor.
David Holt, founding partner at Consilium, said: “Teamwork is one of the values that underpin our ‘Be Consilium’ mantra. As a firm, we reward and support our team members and these promotions reflect their dedication and commitment.
“Retaining the best talent is essential as we continue to grow. The promotions reflect the value of our colleagues and the key roles they play in helping our clients achieve their business goals.”
Webb said: “Consilium is a great place to work based on shared values and helping clients and colleagues achieve their goals. I’m delighted to be a part of that, and I look forward to supporting the partner team with our ambitious plans for the next five years.”
Thomson added: “I am delighted to be promoted to associate director at Consilium and want to thank the partners and wider team. It is going to be an exciting year ahead for our growing firm and I am looking forward to being more involved in the management side of the business.”
