Carpenter Box has bolstered its marketing team with a trio of appointments, ranging in seniority and expertise.

The firm said together they will help the firm reach its “strategic” expansion objectives and raise its visibility amongst potential clients, as well as drive internal communication for the firm’s 200 employees.

Alan Ford, who joins as marketing manager on maternity cover, and has over 20 years of experience working in this function for retail, social care, and leisure businesses.

A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ford is focused on new creative ways of working and data driven insight to maximise ROI.

According to the firm, together with its communications director Kira McKinney, he manages the marketing team and overarching strategy to deliver support to all areas of the business.

Additionally, Jonny Matthews joins the firm as its new digital marketing executive. In this newly created position, Matthews is responsible for the firm’s website content, search engine optimisation and social media strategy.

Carpenter Box has also appointed a new marketing assistant, Nia Hazell, who joins from an estate agent and will assist the team with a broad range of marketing activities.

All three of the new appointments are settling in at Carpenter Box and relishing the challenges of working for one of the region’s leading accountancy practices. They are based in Worthing but will also work across the firm’s other offices.

Alan Edwards, Carpenter Box’s managing director, said: “These skilled and dedicated new appointments arrive at an important time, as we are experiencing a period of unprecedented business growth, with enquiry levels on a high across all our service lines.

“However, there is room for further expansion, so promoting ourselves effectively is essential, as is positioning ourselves as the employer of choice in the Sussex area.

He added: “Alan, Jonny and Nia strengthen our marketing team and will help spread the Carpenter Box word, both for new business and recruitment. I’d like to welcome them to the firm and wish them every success in their new roles.”
