FRP has appointed Sandy Kinninmonth as restructuring advisory partner to lead its new office in Southampton, located at Mountbatten House, Grosvenor Square.

Kinninmonth has a career spanning more than 30 years providing restructuring advice to SMEs, owner-managed businesses and large corporations in the UK and Hong Kong.

He advises businesses across industries including those in construction, engineering, leisure and hospitality, and financial services, at all stages of the corporate life cycle. This includes supporting businesses with restructuring matters, shareholder disputes, the introduction of new finance and formal restructuring appointments.

Most recently, the firm said Kinninmonth has advised on the informal “wind down” of a regulated bank, negotiated with key stakeholders to avoid the formal insolvency of a multi-site restaurant group and undertaken numerous reviews for bank and asset-based lenders across “various sectors.”

Opening in early March, the new location establishes an “on-the-ground” presence for FRP in Hampshire for the first time.

Kinninmonth said: “The launch of the new Southampton office is an exciting opportunity for FRP to expand its footprint on the south coast and we are already working to build a first-class team for the city.

“I’ll be joined by colleagues in our restructuring advisory and corporate finance teams, and we are looking forward to meeting and working with the region’s business community, providing the highest quality service to clients while continuing to drive growth for FRP.”

Jeremy French, COO at FRP, added: “Sandy brings vast experience to the role and is ideally placed to lead our new team in Southampton. We’re committed to providing a market-leading service to our clients at this critical time, while continuing to grow our practice across the region.”
