Grant Thornton has been appointed as the administrator of Greensill Capital and Greensill Capital Management Company following its recent collapse.

Chris Laverty, Trevor O’Sullivan and Will Stagg of Grant Thornton UK have reportedly been in “continued discussion” with an interested party in relation to the purchase of certain Greensill Capital assets.

Following these appointments, the directors of Greensill Capital Pty resolved to appoint Matt Byrnes, Phil Campbell-Wilson, and Michael McCann of Grant Thornton Australia, as voluntary administrators of the group’s company holdings in Australia.

The company said that Greensill Capital Pty which is the parent company for the Greensill Group and provides administration and head office support to the group, operates only in a limited capacity.

Greensill Capital stated on its website: “As these discussions remain ongoing, it would be inappropriate to comment further at this time.”
