International Game Technology (IGT) has announced the appointment of Massimiliano ‘Max’ Chiara as its new group chief financial officer, taking effect from 6 April.

Chiara succeeds long-term CFO Alberto Fornaro, who departs from the company after nine-years.

Chiara joins IGT from CNH Industrial N.V., where he most recently served as chief financial officer and chief sustainability officer. Has has also previously held various financial and operational roles at Fiat Chrysler Group and, amongst other prior positions, as a consultant at PwC Advisory.

IGT also confirmed that Chiara will be joining the firm’s board of directors as an executive director, with the appointment awaiting shareholder approval.

Marco Sala, IGT CEO said: “We are excited to have Max join the IGT team, both as a member of my senior leadership team and as a board member. His broad and deep background in all facets of global finance and operations, in addition to his high standards of excellence, will be tremendous assets to our organisation.”

Chiara added: “It is a great honor to be joining an iconic gaming industry leader. I look forward to working with IGT’s strong leadership team and assisting the company in achieving its strategic and financial goals.”
