Teesside-based accountancy firm MHA Tait Walker has announced it will double its workforce following the expansion into its new Stockton-on-Tees office.

MHA Tait Walker announced the move is expected to create four new jobs but plans to double its workforce to 40 over the next three years.

The new recruits will include experienced specialist accountants, together with graduate and apprentice trainees. The new office includes 6,500 sq ft of space in Teeside Park and is set to open later this spring.

Andrew Moorby, managing partner, said: “The investment and expansion plan marks the latest milestone for our Teesside team. The new office base will allow us to continue to service existing clients, but also look to work with new businesses across the area.

“The move is part of a wider strategic plan to grow the business with a focus on winning clients who demand specialist accounting services.”

MHA Tait Walker now has six regional offices and a total workforce exceeding 150 across the region, which includes offices in Durham, Leeds, Northumberland, Carlisle and Newcastle.
