Engineering and manufacturing firm Trifast has selected BDO as its new auditor.

It comes after KPMG annoucned it is to resign as auditor of the company following completion of the review of the half-yearly financial report for the six months ended 30 September 2019.

According to Trifast, KPMG did not participate in the tender process due to the rules on the mandatory rotation of auditors.

The appointment of BDO to carry out the audit of the Company’s financial statements for the financial year ending 31 March 2020 will take effect immediately following KPMG’s resignation.

Trifast said: “The board of Trifast would like to thank KPMG for its significant contribution and service as auditor over the last 24 years.”

KPMG and BDO have been contacted for comment.
