Chartered accountants Brown Butler has appointed Lyndsey Shaw as its new corporate finance director.

With a strong reputation in the Yorkshire deals market, having been a partner at Sterling Corporate Finance, Shaw brings with her a “raft” of experience as lead advisor on disposals, acquisition, MBOs and joint ventures.

Shaw said: “I am very excited to join a well-established firm that has such a strong client base and an excellent reputation in the market. I’m looking forward to bringing my transactional experience to Brown Butler’s exceptional client base, working with the rest of their corporate finance team here in Leeds.”

Director at Brown Butler, James White, added: “We are thrilled to add someone of Lyndsey’s calibre and reputation to our growing team. It’s been a busy centenary year for the practice, and this appointment takes our total number of directors to 17.”

The firm is currently celebrating its 100th anniversary and employs more than 80 people at its office on St Paul’s Street Leeds.
