Professional services network Dow Schofield Watts has partnered with training provider Financa to deliver a specialist mergers and acquisitions training programme across its licensee network.

The training package will combine live workshops and case studies to enhance technical capability and deal execution skills for the business’ corporate finance advisory teams.

Staff from non-corporate finance divisions will also join the project to improve integration and internal client referrals.

The programme will count towards mandatory continuing professional development requirements for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales

The initiative forms part of a wider strategy by Dow Schofield Watts to manage administrative infrastructure for its regional teams.

Shru Morris, chief executive, said: “At Dow Schofield Watts, we are committed to investing in the development of the people within our businesses and ensuring our licensees have access to the very best training and support available.

“Partnering with Financa allows us to further strengthen the expertise across our corporate finance teams through a practical, engaging and highly relevant M&A training programme that reflects the needs of today’s market. With other teams joining the programme too, their additional knowledge and understanding will also continue to encourage cross-team working and referrals which is part of what makes our model so unique.”

James Wolfe, Financa managing director, added: “Financa is delighted to be appointed as DSW’s M&A learning partner. We are already collaborating with DSW Leadership and the wider Network to deploy the Financa Platform, and we look forward to delivering high‑impact technical training that strengthens talent development and accelerates the progression of DSW’s advisers.”
