Accounting and advisory firm PKF Smith Cooper has appointed Beverley Scott as a corporate tax partner to support its expansion in the West Midlands.

Scott has more than 20 years of experience advising owner-managed businesses. She joins from another regional firm after previously holding roles at two Big Four organisations.

Her career began in a boutique advisory practice where she worked with a client base ranging from small and medium-sized enterprises to multinational groups.

The new partner will work with existing tax partners to develop the firm’s corporate tax offering. PKF Smith Cooper provides accounting services across the Midlands.

The firm is currently executing a five-year plan to double its size. Scott will take a leading role in expanding the company’s presence across the West Midlands.

Scott said: “I am delighted to be joining PKF Smith Cooper at such an exciting time in the firm’s growth. With its strong and well‑established presence in the wider Midlands region, I am looking forward to working alongside the leadership team to help further develop and strengthen the firm’s position across the West Midlands region, as well as further enhance the corporate tax offering across the firm.”

Managing partner James Bagley added: “Bev’s appointment as tax partner is a major milestone for the firm as we push forward with our ambitious five-year plan to double in size. Her extensive experience and keen understanding of the Midlands market make her an excellent addition to our leadership team.”
