Kelly Mitchell and Alyson Richards of Quantuma have been appointed joint administrators over Fairoak Foods Limited to manage a sale of the Surrey-based manufacturing business.

The company, established in 2011, specialises in small-batch production of private-label food products, including soups, pasta, and stews for the retail and foodservice sectors.

Approximately 60 staff are employed at the Woking facility, and the administrators confirmed that no redundancies have been made at this stage.

The business continues to trade under the control of the joint administrators while a purchaser is sought for the company’s assets and operations.

The administration was prompted by significant cashflow issues, despite the firm’s established relationships with national retailers and brands.

The sale includes the business and assets of Fairoak Foods Limited, notably a 6,700 sq ft production facility equipped with modern machinery for large-scale food processing.

The firm’s operational model incorporates product development, ingredient sourcing, and supply chain management.

Joint administrators have commenced marketing the business. Potential purchasers are being invited to submit expressions of interest to evaluate the facility’s capacity for delivering premium-tier food products at scale while maintaining existing customer contracts and supply lines.

Mitchell said: “Fairoak Foods is a private-label manufacturer of chef-led food and should attract interest, despite having to cease to trade due to the company’s cashflow issues. The company has a management team with sector knowledge and customer relationships.

“We are offering for sale the business and assets, including a factory with a range of machinery and equipment. The company partners with retailers and brands to deliver products at scale. The business represents an opportunity to acquire a manufacturing facility with industry relationships.”
