MGI Midgley Snelling LLP, the Surrey-based accountancy firm, has promoted Steve Baxter to associate partner, as part of its ongoing commitment to the growth of its leadership team.

The firm said Baxter has been key to its success for several years, supporting partners and clients alike. It added that his new appointment reflects the “elevated responsibility” he has adopted and his importance in the business’ future.

In his new role, Baxter will be tasked with strengthening the firm’s audit and accounts function, aiding the development of senior team members and expanding his external professional network, doing more to draw in new clients.

Baxter said: “I am proud to be taking on the role of Associate Partner at MGI Midgley Snelling LLP. The firm has been a big part of my career and I am grateful for the trust and support of the partners and wider team.

“I am looking forward to continuing to strengthen our audit and accounts offering, supporting the development of our team and helping to grow the firm while maintaining the high level of service our clients expect.”

Sarah Squires, partner at MGI Midgley Snelling LLP, added: “Steve’s promotion is thoroughly well deserved. Over many years, he has demonstrated not only strong technical expertise but also a real commitment to our clients, our team and the long-term success of the firm.”
