PM+M has reported higher turnover and headcount growth in 2025, alongside the launch of new services and continued investment in apprenticeships and community activity.

The Blackburn and Bury-based chartered accountancy, business advisory and financial planning firm said turnover rose by more than 9% over the past financial year, driven by growth across its audit, cloud and financial planning teams.

Headcount increased by 6.5% to 164 employees during the year. The firm said its total workforce now stands at 189 following further recruitment and investment in training.

During the year, the firm recruited 10 new apprentices and made more than 40 promotions across its business.

New service launches included a virtual finance office offering and a workplace and protection proposition, aimed at expanding its advisory support for clients.

The firm also secured B Corp certification, which recognises businesses meeting standards on social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency. PM+M was ranked fourth in the Top 50 SME Apprenticeship Employers 2025 and was named an employer of choice for the third consecutive year.

Its Positive Impact programme continued to support charities and community groups across Lancashire, Greater Manchester and the wider North West through volunteering, fundraising and pro bono work.

Helen Clayton, managing partner at PM+M, said: “Our 2025 achievements are a testament to the dedication and talent of our entire team, and to the trust our clients place in us every day.

“As we look ahead to 2026, we are focused on widening our client base and forging deeper, more collaborative relationships where we act not only as advisers but as long-term strategic partners.”

She added: “We will also remain committed to strengthening our role within the communities we serve by investing our time, capabilities and care where they can make the greatest difference.”
