Contracting and accounting firm Sapphire has announced a new leadership structure, naming Mark Connor as chief executive and promoting Alex Moore to chief sales officer.
The company said the changes come as it prepares for new umbrella legislation and continued expansion in the contracting sector. Sapphire reported turnover of £525m last year and is projecting £600m for the current financial year, supported by demand for compliant payroll services and a growing contractor base.
Connor has been with the business for 12 years, joining as new business manager and later guiding it through a management buyout in 2017 and a move to employee ownership in 2021.
Moore joined Sapphire in 2018 as business development director. She has led account management and overseen global sales and the Quartz software platform, and will now focus on growth across all service lines.
Connor said: “This is a pivotal moment for Sapphire and the market in general. Moving to a C-suite structure will only aid our already ambitious growth plans. With strong foundations in employee ownership, innovative technology, and market-leading compliance, we’re well positioned to capitalise on emerging opportunities, expand our global footprint, and deliver even greater value to contractors and clients alike.”
Moore added: “In this new role, my goal is to ensure Sapphire remains the best service provider in the temporary labour market – the company every client wants to work with. We’re investing wisely in the business, and with the right focus and strategy, I’m confident we can continue to deliver outstanding outcomes for our clients.”
