Bibby Asset Finance has appointed Hein Grobler as senior business development manager to lead growth across its vendor finance channel.
The appointment is part of a wider effort by parent company Bibby Financial Services to expand support for small and medium-sized businesses in the UK.
Grobler brings 28 years of experience in banking and financial services, with a background in asset-based finance and working capital solutions. He will focus on developing vendor finance programmes, building strategic partnerships and increasing the firm’s market reach.
At South African bank Merchant West, Grobler helped grow the asset finance portfolio by 32% and introduced new financing tools, including a supplier quotation system and a funding product tailored for veterinary practices.
Derek Ryan, managing director at Bibby Financial Services UK, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Hein to the team. His significant experience in the asset finance space makes him well placed to lead the next stage of growth of the vendor channel for Bibby Asset Finance.
“More than ever, UK SMEs need support in unlocking working capital to operate efficiently and grow. We look forward to the energy, insight, and innovation Hein will bring to vendor finance.”
Grobler added: “I’m thrilled to join BFS and to lead BAF’s vendor finance initiatives. With a strong foundation in driving channel growth and building successful client partnerships, I look forward to providing solutions that deliver real value to our customers and sustainable growth for the business.”
