BHP has announced that the company has officially completed its move into its new Sheffield office at the Albert Works.
As a result of its growth over recent years, the firm had become spread across three buildings on Clarkehouse Road.
The move to Albert Works has enabled BHP to bring together its 190 strong Sheffield team, including its Translink Corporate Finance and BHP Financial Planning teams, under one roof in the city centre.
The new base features a contemporary fit-out by Formm, following interior designs created by fellow Sheffield company Blokka.
The former cutlery works includes open plan working space to reflect BHP’s hybrid working patterns, collaboration zones and the latest meeting technology.
Lisa Leighton, joint CEO at BHP, said: “Our move to Albert Works marks an exciting new milestone for BHP in Sheffield and we are thrilled with our new address. The investment we have made in the new state of the art facility is the next important step in our growth story, allowing us to attract the best talent across the region to enable us to continue to deliver outstanding service to our clients.
“Having all our service lines together in a fantastic open office space will enhance our already strong collaborative approach to supporting our clients through improved and integrated ways of working. We look forward to welcoming our clients into our new home.”
Sean Elwood of Elmsdale Estates added: “We feel privileged to welcome BHP to this landmark development, an exciting move that reflects the quality of the space at Albert Works, and will bring renewed economic vibrancy to the area, reinforcing its reputation as a thriving hub for professional and creative industries.”
BHP currently has more than 450 staff, including 35 partners at offices in Sheffield, Cleckheaton, Leeds, Chesterfield, and York.
