Bishop Fleming appoints new audit partner

Bishop Fleming has appointed Stuart Crisp as audit partner to its Bristol office.

Crisp was previously audit partner at Bristol independent firm Corrigan, and strengthens Bishop Fleming’s Bristol-based team as demand for the firm’s audit services increases, most notably in its owner managed business market.

He brings over 25 years of experience in accountancy and audit to the firm, including over a decade spent with large international firms Baker Tilly (RSM) and BDO.

During his career, Crisp has worked extensively with startups and scale-ups – particularly those that receive private equity or venture capital funding – including members and former members of the Bristol-based Set Squared, Future Space, and Science Creates communities.

According to Bishop Fleming, his expertise in this area will help Bishop Fleming attract and retain clients in the mid-market segment.

Crisp’s appointment brings Bishop Fleming’s Bristol audit team to over 100 professionals.

This growth reflects the firm’s ongoing investment in the city and aligns with its Better Growth strategy, which has seen audit revenues increase by at least 23% in each of the last three years. With another strong year underway, the firm is on track for similar results.

Additionally, the firm is expanding its Bristol office footprint to accommodate this rapid expansion, taking over an additional floor in its central location.
