Evelyn Partners has announced the appointment of two directors, Mark Carter and Gail Carr, and an associate financial planner, Ross Bone, to its Leeds and Newcastle offices.
As well as reinforcing the firm’s regional presence in the north, the new hires will also support Evelyn Partner’s ‘dual expert’ proposition where clients are offered both financial planning and investment management services in-house.
Carter has joined the Leeds office as a director in financial planning with more than 30 years of experience in financial services. He spent the last 10 years as a senior wealth manager in Aberdeen.
Meanwhile, Bone has joined the Newcastle office as associate financial planner with 10 years of experience in financial services. He comes from Equilibrium Financial Planning, where he worked for five years.
David Smith, managing partner at Evelyn Partners, said: “Evelyn Partners is delighted to welcome Mark and Ross, not just because they will bring some great experience and capabilities to our Leeds and Newcastle financial planning teams, but also because they fortify our already-significant regional presence in the north of England.”
In addition, the firm has hired Carr as a director to its investment management team in Newcastle from Rathbones, where she worked for four years as an investment manager.
She has 20 years of experience in the industry, having previously worked at Brewin Dolphin within both the portfolio and investment management areas of the business.
David Rankin, managing partner at Evelyn Partners, added: “Gail is a key appointment in our drive to build local investment advice capabilities for clients in the north.
“Our expansion means we can offer not just top-class portfolio and investment management at a personal level to clients in the region – but also that our investment managers and financial planners can work together in the same regional offices to provide an industry-leading suite of in-house wealth management services.”
