Ballards has announced that Sean Devlin, IT and Digital Transformation partner, has been appointed to AGN International’s EMEA IT committee.

AGN International is a worldwide association of separate and independent accounting and advisory businesses, with member firms in over 80 countries.

The AGN EMEA IT Committee focuses on “guiding member firms through their digital transformation journey”, addressing challenges such as practice digitisation, cybersecurity, and data analytics implementation.

Devlin brings over two decades of experience implementing “transformative” IT solutions across multiple sectors, including his “successful” leadership of the Ballards’ digital transformation initiatives.

He also has extensive experience supporting organisations through operational change and digital transformation, helping businesses leverage technology to drive efficiency and growth. His experience spans manufacturing, retail, media, logistics, insurance, government, and professional services sectors.

James Syree, CEO of Ballards LLP, said: “This appointment comes at a crucial time when technology and digital transformation are high on the agenda for professional services firms. Sean’s expertise in helping organisations align IT strategy with business goals makes him ideally suited to contribute to AGN’s strategic direction in this space.”

Devlin added: “I’m looking forward to collaborating with peers across the EMEA region,” says Sean Devlin. The committee’s focus on driving efficiency and enhancing client service through technology aligns perfectly with Ballards’ modern thinking approach. This is an opportunity to share insights and develop strategies that benefit not just AGN members, but the wider professional services community.”
