Independent financial services Broadstone has announced the appointment of Rahul Choudhary as a director of regulatory analytics in its Insurance, Regulatory and Risk division.

With over 14 years of experience, Choudhary brings a wealth of expertise in credit risk management, regulatory compliance, and financial and regulatory modelling.

He will support the expansion of Broadstone’s Insurance, Regulatory and Risk division across the regulatory analytics space in risk and lending.

He joins Broadstone after almost ten years at PwC where he was an associate director, leading major initiatives in risk modelling and regulatory compliance for prominent UK banks. Prior to this he held senior positions at Standard Chartered Bank and Athena Credit Management and Risk Solutions.

Choudhary’s extensive background also includes leading the development of next-generation IFRS 9 models, spearheading model risk management initiatives and developing IRB models in line with new regulations, while strategically adapting to technological changes in the banking sector.

Choudhary said: “The Insurance, Regulatory and Risk division is a hugely exciting and growing function within Broadstone. I’m delighted to be joining their talented team of credit risk, actuarial, and modelling specialists.

“Their commitment to delivering innovative insights, and trusted, tailored expertise for their clients mirrors my own values. I look forward to building and fostering relationships with its banking client portfolio and to further enhance the strategic growth of the division.”

Richard Pinch, senior director, Risk at Broadstone, added: “Rahul will make an excellent addition to our growing credit risk team and we are thrilled to have him on board. His deep understanding of A-IRB and IFRS 9 regimes, combined with his leadership in digital strategy and innovation places him perfectly to support our growing client portfolio with outstanding service and insights.

“At a time of rapid growth for our Insurance, Regulatory and Risk division, we are confident that Rahul’s expertise and vision will play a pivotal role in our continued success.”
