Johnston Carmichael has appointed Tom Harrison as its new Global Mobility tax specialist in the north east. Harrison brings over a decade of experience in the accountancy sector, including time spent at some of the UK’s largest firms, and has developed a specialism in Global Mobility.
Drawing on his background in tax compliance and advisory across various sectors, he will bring the full range of Global Mobility services to Newcastle, utilising the firm’s existing infrastructure.
In his new role, he will be responsible for managing corporate clients and their cross-border employees, providing services that range from tax compliance to advisory support on complex matters such as payroll obligations, personal residency issues, and international business travel.
Following his appointment, the firm’s north east office now has a team of 13 specialists in place.
