Furthermore he is also a trustee and the Honorary Treasurer of UK Youth, a national youth charity, and the senior independent governor of the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, University of London.

Chan will take over the role from Aidan Sutton who held it for five years and is also the audit leader within the Government & Health Industries business.

Chan said: “I am honoured to take on this role and lead PwC’s work with charities in the UK at a time when the sector continues to grapple with a myriad of challenges and where the demand for their vital work is ever increasing. I look forward to continuing to work closely with our clients and key sector stakeholders to create sustainable and meaningful impact.”

Rachel Taylor, Government and Health Industries leader at PwC UK, added: “I am delighted to have appointed Daniel as our new Charities Leader. Daniel’s extensive experience, passion and involvement in the sector make him the ideal person to lead at such a pivotal time for charities in the UK. His leadership will undoubtedly strengthen our commitment to supporting the vital work of charitable organisations.”
