Menzies has announced it has agreed a merger deal with London-based firm Rollings Butt as part of its ongoing growth strategy.
Specialising in business restructuring and insolvency services, Rollings Butt holds “robust” client relationships across a number of industries including financial services, property and construction and technology and intellectual property.
The 10-strong team, including Steve Butt and James Money who will join as partners, will join forces with the Menzies team in London from their existing City-based office.
Menzies’ membership of the global HLB network also means Rollings Butt clients will benefit from turnkey services in 150 countries.
The merger puts Menzies on track to exceed its target of £75m in turnover by June 2025 and will further expand Menzies’ capacity to meet clients’ needs across a range of industries and specialisms.
Laurence Pagden, head of Business Recovery at Menzies LLP, said: “Our merger with Rollings Butt represents another important growth milestone for the Business Recovery department, as well as the wider Menzies team, and will further strengthen our presence in the capital.
“We share many valuable synergies with Rollings Butt, namely our strong connections to London, collaborative approach to client work and strong company culture, and its location and client and contact base in the City made it an excellent fit for us. Business Recovery is one of Menzies’ core strengths and adding more expert members to our specialist team will enable us to further enhance our proposition. We are delighted to welcome our newest members to the firm as we embark on this new journey together.”
Butt added: “Dedication to excellence in both our work and client service has been the hallmark of our firm. Joining forces with Menzies has been a natural fit and we look forward to seeing it augment our expertise and capabilities. By integrating our talent into one team, our clients will see our offering enhanced by the knowledge and experience of Menzies’ strong Business Recovery division and extensive international network.”
