James Cowper Kreston has appointed Andy Cowie to partner and Sam Britton to director, with effect from 1 May 2024.

Cowie joined the firm in 2009 and is based in its Reading office. His promotion follows a prolonged period of growth and development at the firm and will see Cowie’s role focus on client service as well as the continued development of new clients and markets across the London, Thames Valley and Solent regions.

Meanwhile, Britton, who is based in the Oxford office, joined the Audit and Assurance team in 2015. In his new role, Britton will contribute to the firm’s continued “growth and success” in the audit sector.

Cowie said: “I am thrilled and honoured to be joining the partnership at James Cowper Kreston. Marketing and business development remain critical functions of the firm, but my role will be evolving into one focused on supporting the needs and concerns of clients. Giving clients another contact within the partnership will ensure the firm continues to grow and develop whilst delivering outstanding support to our clients.”

Brittion added: “I am delighted to be promoted to the position of Director at James Cowper Kreston. I am looking forward to leading the support of clients, delivering advice and expertise to help them achieve their strategies and maximise their potential.”

Sue Staunton, joint managing partner, concluded: “I would like to congratulate Andy and Sam on their promotions, which are very well deserved. They have been dedicated to the firm and instrumental to its growth for a number of years and it is testament to this that they are being recognised for their hard work.”
