UHY Hacker Young Manchester has announced it has been shortlisted twice at this year’s Insider North West Young Professional Awards.

Audit assistant manager, Holly Davies, was shortlisted for ‘Young Accountant of the Year’ award, while accounts and business advisory senior, Cael Ogden, was shortlisted for the ‘Young Apprentice of the Year’ award.

In addition to being shortlisted, Ogden was announced as ‘Highly Commended’ within his award category, as the judges were impressed with his commitment to his wider UHY team, financial contributions to the firm, leading the internal social committee and his volunteering efforts.

The Insider North West Young Professional Awards was hosted on Wednesday 17 April at The Midland Hotel in Manchester.

Ogden said: “It was a privilege to be ‘Highly Commended’ and shortlisted, so a massive thank you to Chris Oxley, partner in the Manchester office, for the nomination and to the team for supporting me in my day-to-day work.

“Everyone that attended enjoyed the evening, it went smoothly, and narrowly missing out on winning the award has now motivated me even more for any future events.”

David Kendrick, CEO of UHY Manchester, added: “I am extremely proud of both Holly and Cael for getting recognised at these prestigious awards. They were up against some strong nominees and getting recognised is an achievement in itself, with Cael getting Highly Commended. Well done to them both.”
