Consilium has announced that it has secured a £450,000 RSA grant for Scottish manufacturer James Scott and Sons.
The grant, awarded through Scottish Enterprise’s Regional Selective Assistance (RSA) programme, will fuel the company’s move to a modern, efficient factory.
Consilium’s close working relationship with Scottish Enterprise was instrumental in securing the grant.
Linzi Wilson, corporate finance partner, led the team that crafted an application showcasing the positive impact of a new factory on James Scott and Sons’ efficiency, employee well-being and the Scottish economy.
Consilium will continue to support James Scott and Sons throughout the transition to their new premises and the drawdown of their RSA grant award.
Stuart Scott, co-owner of James Scott and Sons, said: “We had never applied for grant funding before and the application process was daunting. It also became clear that we didn’t have the time needed to complete an application. Thankfully, our accountant introduced us to Consilium.
“We are delighted with the help and support Linzi and the Consilium team provided,” continues Stuart. Not only were we successful in securing the grant funding, Consilium ensured the process was smooth and allowed us to stay focused on building our business.”
Wilson added: “Helping James Scott and Sons secure this funding has been incredibly rewarding. Supporting their journey towards even greater success is what motivates us at Consilium.”
