RSM has announced the appointment of Jill Kaur as partner in the firm’s national private client tax team.

Kaur has over 25 years’ experience advising high and ultra-high net worth individuals, non-doms and owner managed businesses.

She joins RSM’s Birmingham office from tier one tax dispute law firm Joseph Hage Aaronson LLP and has previous experience across the Big Four and mid-tier accountancy firms.

Jill will work closely with Elaine Shiels, head of private client services in Birmingham, to strengthen the firm’s established and growing private client offering.

Kaur said: “The collaborative culture, interesting clients and ambitious growth plans were what attracted me to the role at RSM; and I hope to enhance our offering further with my expertise in complex private client tax matters. Tax can be a minefield for individuals to navigate themselves, so I pride myself on being a trusted adviser that can offer practical advice that meets clients’ end goal.”

Helen Brocklebank, office managing partner in Birmingham at RSM UK, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Jill to the team, her extensive experience makes her an ideal candidate to support clients and enable us to grow our private client offering both in the Midlands and across the UK.”

RSM now has 4,715 partners and staff operating from 31 locations throughout the UK.
