North-West accountancy and business advisory firm Cowgills has moved its head office to Parklands 5B at Middlebrook, Bolton.

The company has taken 10,000 sq. ft of space on the fourth floor of the building, moving colleagues from its previous head office at 45-53 Chorley New Road in the town.

The Parklands development is adjacent to J6 of the M61 and is just a 10-minute walk from Horwich Parkway train station, which has direct links to Manchester Central and Preston. Cowgills will be joining occupiers alongside Keoghs, AO.com and AXA insurance.

Cowgills has also announced that its wealth division – Cowgills Wealth has been acquired by national financial advisor Ascot Lloyd. The sale was completed to ensure that the business could continue to scale and keep up to date with increased regulation. The 20 strong team will also join Cowgills at Parklands 5B.

Commenting on the move, managing partner Paul Stringer said: “We were established in Bolton forty years ago this year, so we were very keen to keep our headquarters in the town. The business has grown rapidly in the last five years, just this year we opened new offices in Manchester and Liverpool for our growing teams in both cities.

“Investing in the very best facilities is a huge priority for us and Parklands provides us with everything we need, including a state-of-the-art working environment and bright, open, flexible workspace. Being located at Middlebrook also provides colleagues with plenty of amenities very close by and easy travel links across the region.”

Last year Cowgills moved its Manchester city centre base to Annex on Quay Street, taking 3,700 sq ft of space on the first floor after the team doubled in size in just two years across its corporate finance, tax and audit teams.
