Sage Group has appointed KPMG as its external auditor for the financial year ending 30 September 2025.
The news follows the conclusion of a formal and competitive tender process overseen by the audit and risk committee.
EY, which is the group’s current external auditor, will continue in its role for the financial year ending 30 September 2023.
Jonathan Howell, Sage’s CFO, has thanked EY for its significant contribution and service as external auditor.
In accordance with applicable regulations, Sage is required to put the external audit contract out to tender every 10 years.
In the 2022 annual report, it was stated that the company anticipated conducting a competitive tender process no later than 2024, given EY was initially appointed in 2015.
