Accountant and ethics adviser, Stuart Brown has been invited to join The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) on its Members and Commercial Board.
In his new role, Brown will help to steer the development, operation and implementation of policies and actions that will impact the renowned organisation’s almost 200,000 global members.
The news follows Brown’s appointment to the Institute as a member of the ethics advisory committee in 2021, bolstering his involvement with the industry organisation.
In addition to supplying advice on precedent-setting cases and developing new guidance within the organisation, he will now be actively helping to shape policy decisions that will impact organisations around the world.
Brown said: “I am very proud to be part of the ICAEW Members and Commercial Board through my engagement with the ICAEW Ethics Advisory Committee. The board is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of policies, actions and the operational plan in the area of ICAEW member services and commercial services.
“In other words, they have oversight of all member and commercial services, which makes this a great mark of recognition that I’m honoured to accept. We report directly to the ICAEW main board, so it will increase the profile of Duncan and Toplis as a prominent voice for ethical business advice within the world-leading accountancy body known to everyone in the industry.”
Duncan and Toplis is an accountancy and business advisory practice with 11 offices throughout the East Midlands: in Boston, Grantham, Lincoln, Loughborough, Louth, Melton Mowbray, Newark, Skegness, Sleaford, Spalding and Stamford.
