PKF Littlejohn hires insolvency expert

Brendan Clarkson’s role will involve providing debt advice to businesses, helping them to secure funding from a wide range of lenders

Brendan Clarkson has joined PKF Littlejohn as a director in the firm’s Advisory team.

Clarkson has more than 25 years of experience in corporate lending and insolvency, working with businesses of all sizes, lenders, creditors and government bodies.

He will work across PKF’s London, Leeds and Manchester offices. His role will involve providing debt advice to businesses, helping them to secure funding from a wide range of lenders.

The firm said he will also apply his expertise to businesses facing financial distress and in need of practical insolvency advice, including assisting on business turnarounds.

Clarkson hosts regular seminars on credit, debt and working capital, and sits on the Advisory Board of the Chartered Institute of Credit Management.

Stephen Goderski, partner and head of the Advisory team, said: “Brendan is well known in the credit management industry for his strong relationships and his ability to find commercial solutions to complex problems. These are both attributes that we value at PKF, and we are confident that he will be a natural fit here.

“Brendan’s arrival demonstrates the investment that we’re making in our advisory services, as we continue to grow our offering and further bolster the range of support that we are able to provide clients.”

Clarkson added: “This is an interesting time in an ever-changing economic market. As we all know, lenders are getting more discerning, so it’s more important than ever for businesses to have strong relationships and get the right advice.

“I’m exciting to be part of the PKF team and look forward to using my experience and contacts to help the firm and its clients.”
