Loughton accountancy firm Haslers is celebrating the 15th anniversary of its own charity, The Haslers Foundation.
Since the chartered accountancy firm established the Haslers Foundation in 2008, the charity has provided more than £212,000 in support to national and local good causes.
The Haslers Foundation aims to prevent and relieve poverty by providing grants and services to people in need, or to other charities or organisations involved in this type of work. It also supports people with long-term medical conditions and initiatives to preserve good health and encourages young people to participate in society by promoting recreational and leisure activities.
Over the past 15 years, the foundation has organised and taken part in fundraising activities to raise money for its cause. These activities include annual quizzes and give-a-gift appeals, the donations from which have supported many local causes and charities.
A team from Haslers Accountants also took on a 12 km obstacle course in May 2023 in order to raise money for the Haslers Foundation.
With such a significant milestone achieved and with a considerable amount of money raised, the Haslers Foundation wants to continue its good work and help many more people.
Jon O’Shea, chairman and senior tax partner at Haslers Accountants, said: “We are immensely proud of the work the Haslers Foundation has achieved in its 15-year history but we know we can achieve so much more.
“We’d like to reach out to more local charities so we can help support them, and in turn help a wider group of those most in need.”
