London-based professional services group Fusion Consulting Group has acquired Exceed Accountants, marking the completion of the firm’s fourth acquisition of this year.
Fusion Consulting was started in 2015 by Mitch Young and Adam Maurice to cater to the private client and SMEs, providing a broad range of services including international taxation, business advisory, accounting, financial services, legal services, and recruitment and digital marketing.
Exceed Accountants, which is a Surrey-based firm, has over 500 local and international clients and over 15 staff to bolster its Fusion accountancy division.
News of the acquisition comes as Fusion had secured an M&A fund from SME Capital in October 2022 to “disrupt the professional services sector”. This transaction is one of six strategic acquisitions that the group is looking to complete in 2023.
Adam Maurice, director of Fusion Consulting, said: “I am delighted to announce our latest acquisition. Exceed’s owners share our vision and values and I look forward to welcoming their international team and client base to Fusion.”
Anthony Phillips, a director of Exceed, added: “Succession planning was something we knew we had to do, but we had to make sure that the fit was right. We bought into Fusion’s experience in M&A and the formidable group they have created.
“My co-director, Gerhard, and I are delighted to be joining such an entrepreneurial business and are confident that this transaction will create wonderful opportunities for our clients and team.”
