Accountancy and business advisory firm, BDO has recently appointed two new partners to its London team.
Steve Salisbury joins BDO from PwC as a partner in its specialist technical risk assurance (TRA) team within the audit department, having built up more than 20 years’ experience as an auditor, most recently leading and delivering IT and advisory engagements. In his new role at BDO he will work closely with the wider TRA team to support their continued growth and development.
Commenting on his appointment, Salisbury said: “We are seeing some exciting and dynamic businesses come through in the mid-market, FinTech space who require increasingly complex technical solutions. My past sector expertise and experience in risk assurance mean I can fully support them.”
Graham Handy also joins as partner with the firm’s insurance industry team focusing on the continued growth of BDO’s actuarial and general consulting practices. Handy has nearly 30 years of experience of senior line management and senior consultancy experience, specialising in corporate M&A, board advisory and risk management projects.
Handy said: “The Financial Services sector continues to face unprecedented levels of change, but the sector remains resilient; making significant contributions to local markets. This is an exciting time to be joining BDO and I’m thrilled to be part of a passionate team who strive to deliver ambitious leading solutions.”
