Hurst has appointed four new members of staff to its business services, tax and accounts teams.

Sam Parry and Harvey Hubbard have joined the business services team as a senior manager and manager respectively. The team, which has more than 70 staff, carries out audit, compliance, strategic advisory, outsourcing and business planning work.

Kate Oakes has joined the tax team as a corporation tax compliance manager, while Aamilah Mohammed has joined the accounts and business advisory team as an associate.

Parry, a former semi-professional rugby union player, has relocated to the north-west from Mercer and Hole. He previously trained at KPMG and worked at Australian accountancy firm William Buck.

Hubbard trained at BDO and was previously an audit client manager at Kirk Rice. Oakes meanwhile is a chartered tax adviser who previously trained at Deloitte and worked at Salford Citizens Advice Bureau and KPMG.

Meanwhile, Mohammed joins the accounts and business advisory team from Pickford and Co. The team specialises in helping businesses modernise their financial operations by adopting cloud accounting technologies, streamlining data systems and managing day-to-day bookkeeping and payroll functions.

Simon Brownbill, partner and head of practice development at Hurst, said: “We are delighted to welcome Sam, Harvey, Kate and Aamilah to the firm. They each bring valuable experience, technical expertise and fresh perspectives that will further strengthen our teams and enhance the service we provide to clients.

“These appointments reflect our continued investment in talented people as we grow our national client base and expand the range of services we offer. Attracting high-calibre professionals from leading firms is testament to the opportunities available at HURST, and supports our ambitious plans for the future as part of the Dains Group.”
