BHP has promoted 36 staff across its offices in Sheffield, Leeds, York, Cleckheaton, and Chesterfield following the firm’s merger with Sumer.
The cohort includes Claire Millington, who becomes an audit partner. Millington joined the company in 2021 and specialises in the pensions sector.
The promotions follow the company joining Sumer in December 2025. The firm is currently transitioning its visual branding from blue to orange.
The move comes as the business seeks to reach a £100m revenue target. BHP has removed legal suffixes from its title as part of the integration.
Joint managing partner Lisa Leighton said: “Celebrating 36 promotions across the firm is a milestone we’re incredibly proud of. These promotions highlight the exceptional talent, dedication, and progression happening throughout every part of our business.”
Leighton added: “While our branding is changing, our people remain at the heart of everything we do. Their achievements reflect the strength of our teams and the values that continue to drive us forward.
“Becoming part of Sumer enhances the opportunities available to both our clients and our colleagues. The wider national network gives our people even greater scope to develop their expertise, collaborate, and grow their careers.”
Millington said: “I’m proud to step into the role of partner and I’m committed to continuing the strong support we provide to our pensions clients. This sector demands precise technical understanding and proactive guidance, and our team is focused on delivering exactly that.”
