London-based BR Accountants has announced it intends to grow its workforce by 20% during the first quarter, as it expects to hit a 10,000-client milestone this year.

The firm, which specialises in the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS), reported that more than 80% of its current client base operates within the building sector.

Established in 2008 by Rodion Batir, BR Accountants is currently managed by chief executive Ilie Batir from its head office in East London.

The company provides services to construction businesses across the UK, ranging from London to the Shetlands, while also maintaining a portfolio of retail and film industry clients.

Management confirmed the planned recruitment drive follows a period of increased demand for specialist tax advice. Rodion Batir continues to support operations from Spain.

Ilie Batir said: “Having this knowledge of CIS is not something you can buy. I have been working with the construction sector for nearly 20 years. We are based in London, and we keep a head office to meet clients, to give them that chance because a lot, if not all, accountancy work can be done online.

“That is something my brother found out during COVID, and he now does that in Spain. However, we do have an office presence for the people who want that option. We really have clients all over, from London to the Shetlands in the UK and beyond. 2026 is going to be a record-breaking one for us, and we are very happy to be moving onto next levels.”
