Advisory firm Interpath has announced an alliance with sustainability consultancy Anthesis to help businesses align environmental, social and governance (ESG) objectives with financial performance.

Anthesis, headquartered in London and operating in more than 22 countries, employs 1,400 specialists covering carbon markets, ESG reporting, disclosure, regulatory compliance, communications and supply chain transformation.

Meanwhile, Interpath works with chief financial officers and sustainability leaders to evaluate the cost and impact of projects, providing expertise in working capital, reporting and commercial strategy.

The new partnership will integrate Anthesis’ sustainability expertise into Interpath’s advisory services, offering clients combined support on ESG strategy and financial improvement.

Stuart Reid, managing director and co-head of value creation at Interpath, said: “This alliance will meet a critical need of business leaders – the ability to deliver end-to-end support in achieving sustainable performance and link that with financial improvement.”

Stuart McLachlan, chief executive of Anthesis, added: “Our alliance with Interpath is about combining sustainability with reputational, commercial and operational performance.

“By bringing together these fundamental components of value creation, businesses can drive positive change and play a critical role in the transition to a new era of sustainable performance.”

Hope Rosenbaum, chief growth officer and head of alliances at Interpath, concluded: “Helping investments deliver value and impact is right at the top of the agenda for business leaders, and so bringing together our expertise is an exciting proposition.”
