Bennett Brooks has announced the retirement of tax director Mary Tierney after more than a decade with the firm.
Tierney began her career after a physics degree and management training with the John Lewis Partnership, later joining Coopers and Lybrand, now part of PwC, and qualifying as a chartered accountant before moving into tax.
She joined Bennett Brooks after meeting Yvonne Wood, when the firm’s tax team numbered four.
The team has since grown to 34, covering corporate, personal and specialist tax areas, including trusts and estates.
Her achievements at Bennett Brooks over the past decade included the firm’s “solution driven ethos” and the relationships she formed with clients, colleagues and professional partners.
Bennett Brooks said: “Everyone at Bennett Brooks wishes Mary a retirement filled with adventures, cherished moments with family and friends, joyful festivals and well-earned holidays and the simplest of pleasure to be had in pottering.”
