Xeinadin has announced the acquisition of two prominent accountancy practices in the North of England, Gibson Booth Limited and King Hope. With Gibson Booth Limited established in Barnsley and King Hope’s offices already established in Darlington, Northallerton and Hartlepool, the firm said the move strengthens Xeinadin’s presence in the north, bringing the total number of offices in the region to 16.

Gibson Booth Limited will now be known as the Xeinadin Barnsley office, Gibson Booth in Huddersfield and Gibson Booth Business Solutions and Insolvency Limited in Barnsley will continue to practice as independent entities.

Xeinadin said the move will also strengthen its offering in the agricultural, charity and education sectors and offer local SMEs access to additional resources and expertise that can support larger growth.

Derry Crowley, CEO of Xeinadin, said: “Bringing Gibson Booth Limited and King Hope into the fold is an exciting moment for the whole team and positions Xeinadin as a key player in the North.

“Our growth strategy is focused on being that trusted partner to local businesses and maximising the opportunities for SMEs, especially during tougher socio-economic times. Developing a strong local presence in the North demonstrates our passion for supporting local businesses. We look forward to working closely with both businesses to collectively deliver personalised, future-focused tax and business advice to local businesses.”

Robert Watson, managing director at Gibson Booth Limited, added: “We are delighted to announce a new chapter in the journey of Gibson Booth Limited and are thrilled to be joining Xeinadin. As part of Xeinadin, we will continue to deliver outstanding services to local clients across Yorkshire, now with the added support and resources of one of the leading professional services firms in the UK and Ireland.”

Steve Gardner, director at King Hope, said: “We are pleased to join a national firm that, like us, is committed to providing a personal service to owner managed businesses with a focus on maintaining a local approach.”
