Interpath has expanded its footprint in Europe through the acquisition of Kerkhoff, a purchasing and supply chain management consultancy.
Headquartered in Dusseldorf and with an office in Vienna, Kerkhoff has an “outstanding track record” of supporting businesses across Germany, Austria, Switzerland and beyond to optimise their procurement and supply chain strategies.
Interpath said Kerkhoff’s offering “complements and aligns highly” with its existing suite of cross-border Value Creation services, and “further enhances the firm’s reputation as a leading provider of financial, operational and performance improvement advisory services”.
The acquisition will see all 60 members of staff at Kerkhoff transfer to Interpath, including seven senior team members who transfer to Interpath as managing directors. Its specialist service offerings will initially go to market under the name of ‘Kerkhoff, part of Interpath’.
Mark Raddan, group CEO of Interpath, said: “We are delighted to kickstart the new year by welcoming our new colleagues from Kerkhoff to Interpath. This award-winning team is rightly considered a pioneer in its specialist field of supply chain and procurement consulting, with its innovative methodology and impressive suite of credentials.
“We’re looking forward to growing and scaling the team as we work together to bring this market-leading proposition to a wider global audience as part of our new Procurement and Supply Chain Centre of Excellence. Moreover, we’re excited that this acquisition sees us expand our geographic footprint into the DACH region, where we expect to make further strategic investments over the coming months.”
Thorsten Schmidt, managing director at Kerkhoff, added: “Today marks an exciting new chapter for everyone across Kerkhoff as we join the Interpath family.
“Not only does Interpath have a stellar reputation for delivering exceptional client service, but we also know that this is a team which shares our core values of putting our clients at the heart of everything we do, and which is committed to building an inclusive culture where our talented people can thrive and develop fulfilling careers. We are particularly excited by the opportunity to expand our reach into new global markets, working alongside Interpath’s outstanding international Value Creation team.”
The expansion of Interpath’s global footprint continues following the launch of its first operations in mainland Europe in the summer of 2024, with the opening of its office in Paris.
The firm now employs almost 1,000 people across 23 locations in the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Austria, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands and Algeria.
