North West accountancy and advisory group, Champion Accountants, has bolstered its expertise with three appointments across its tax planning, audit, and accountancy departments.
The new additions include Dale Swift as senior tax planning manager in Manchester, Heather Stockton as senior manager in Chester, and Liam Thompson as audit and accounts senior in Preston.
Joining Champion’s Manchester HQ, Swift brings extensive tax planning expertise. With a strong background in advising on accounts and tax strategies, Dale will now focus on minimising tax liabilities for Champion clients, including guidance on acquisitions, sales, employee share schemes, and broader tax efficiencies.
Returning to Champion’s Chester office after a previous six-year tenure, Stockton brings significant experience in cloud accounting and automation, honed during her time as group financial controller in the facilities management sector.
Her role will involve leveraging technology to provide clients with real-time insights, improved operational efficiency, and enhanced reporting. She will also support training at the Chester office and contribute to business development initiatives.
In Preston, Thompson’s focus will be on delivering audit, accounts, and tax services while advancing his skills through Champion’s career progression framework.
Ged Cosgrove, group managing partner at Champion Accountants, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Dale, Heather, and Liam to the Champion family. Heather’s return speaks volumes about the culture and opportunities we’ve cultivated, and Dale and Liam bring fresh energy and expertise that will strengthen our offering.
“These appointments underline our commitment to growth, client service, and supporting the evolving needs of SMEs. On behalf of everyone at Champion, I wish them the very best in their roles and look forward to seeing them thrive.”
